I recently worked through some older macro insect images for a stock photography request and was reminded that insect photos are just so neat! It was fun editing these photos and seeing the little curiosities of the bug world. In honor of Spring bringing us more of these guys, the next several Photo of the Days will be insect shots.
The majority of my images are shot in RAW format. More on RAW to come in future blogs but suffice to say...RAW shooting gives you great latitude in your shooting and editing work. I highly recommend you consider shooting RAW or RAW+JPG if you aren't already. It can make the difference between a useless picture and a useful photo. When that topic is addressed in the future, I'll post the originals of these photos (which were not exposed ideally) and let you see the benefits for yourself.
This honey bee was slowed down by a passing rain shower when I spotted him on my front porch.
